Comments: I'm all for historic preservation, but widening a doorway on a simple wall does not sound like an attempt to destroy history. It can only increase the value of the real estate in the long run.

Comments: In this day and age of financial struggle for the small business the council should be helping businesses to improve their premises to help keep the buisness afloat Its not as if they want giant neon signs of naked women everywhere!!!!!

Comments: It is not the councils right to simply say no - they have to justify their response and so far, simply being unnecessary for continued commerce is not enough! There is surely only one fair and sensible outcome and that will be to approve the alteration?
