Comments: Helensburgh needs to grow and develop with the times. This is a great idea, which would be of massive benefit to our community across all age groups.

Comments: At long last a group of people committed to achieving something for the community and not their own agendas. Hope this succeeds in a town with over 200 organisations achieving nothing! A well thought out plan and a proffessional approach good luck.

Comments: These are excellent proposals, exactly what Helensburgh has been needing for years. As a resident of the town since 2003 and a parent of 4 young children who will grow up in this town, I recognise the massive opportunity this represents for new leisure facilities, attractions and activities for young people, visitors, and indeed the entire community. I applaud the Helensburgh Heroes team for their vision and drive to make this happen. If the quality of their presentation at the Commodore is anything to go by, these people mean business and I sincerely hope that they get the required backing. I have already been spreading the word amongst my family and friends. Newspaper coverage, and possibly the odd poster (maybe at the station) can only help to raise the profile of Helensburgh Heroes. Very well done, I eagerly await the next developments.

Comments: Helensburgh needs such a venture. It would give a desperately needed boost to the town which appears to be dying on its feet. The venture would do much to encourage tourism to the area and also regenerate local interest,

Comments: It is an eyesore and a waste of a precious resource that Helensburgh cannot afford to lose. A visitor centre would attract much needed tourist to the town as it would be a place to visite even in bad weather.

Comments: This is a good purpose. It has to include a plan for the sustainable upkeep of such a resource (the revenue as opposed to capital costs). It would be particularly good to have space and activities for the teenagers in our community - they are an overlooked group and there is very little in the way of non sporting activities for them. In this day and age, usage for teenagers would have to be accompanied by suitably qualified and disclosed staff or volunteer adults.
