Name: Celeste Stokes on Jun 3, 2009Comments: As a former Husky and lifeguard at the HEC Ed pool, I want to urge you to keep the pool open. It seemed to me it was underutilized back in the 70s. There is such a huge need for pools there is now a real opportunity to use this pool more. Allow HS swim teams to use it as a home base. As it is Roosevelt HS girls have to swim at 6 AM due to lack of pool space. Allow private swim clubs to rent the pool on a regular basis. Lack of pools have allowed one synchronized swim team in the area to have a monopoly in this area. Have the pool open to public during more hours than the limited Alumni family swim. Please keep the pool open. Allow the public access to the University. It will garner more community support for the school.Flag
