I carry a backpack with 3 textbooks, 3 three ringed binders, a regular binder for papers, a bag with clothes for my after school activities, and a purse with the medicationI require daily. I plead to get easier accessible lockers or lighter loads of books.

    Comments: My son in fifth grade has to carry all9 textbooks and binder etc. to school every day because there is no storage or lockers for the students. Son couldn't even fit all the books in his backpack and had to carry two of them. Naturally he came home exhausted with a backache. Will be writing the principal there tomorrow and hope he can find a solution.

    Comments: My 12 year old, 100 pound son carries a 25 pound backpack at school. The school removed all lockers after Columbine. Something needs to be done before this generation of children permanently injures their bodies with these too heavy backpacks!
