105 Habib SiddiquiPAUSWhat is happening in France is disguised fascism (or radical Christianity) under the pretext of so-called French-style secularism. France should be ashamed of banning hijab (headscarves) and now beard. I am simply shocked at the audacity of these measures.

113 KalimFarookiCAUSPlease affirms the right of people of all faiths that they must be free to practice their religion. Just as Catholic nuns prefer to don a head cover, Muslim women must have the right to wear an attire of their choice and preference. We should conduct a dialogue between the Government of France and religious leaders of Abrahamic faiths (Christianity-Islam-Judaism) and urges them to avoid positions that may perpetuate hate over love.
114 FahadMohammadCABanning religious symbols for devout believers is a ridiculus idealogy. This situation will further alienate the muslim community in France. I think a democratic country like France should at least make wise decision to support its own citizens, which certainly includes people from all over the world with a variety of religious beliefs.

133 nuralhudaPHi disagree in banning wearing of hejab, being a muslimah, its our duty to wear hejab and they must respect our belief as a muslim, as we respect thier belief too.

144 RezaulKhandkerPAUSDear Mr. President, It is very sad to see how France, of all the nations, is falling victim to open disregard for freedom and liberty. It is a shame that even a country like the United States which suffered a great deal from terrorism did not go as far as France in denying people's basic rights of practicing their faith. France will go down in history as an intolerant Western democracy. I hope France gets the wisdom of this failure. I hope no other country follows such practice and a new leadership in France brings sense into this madness. R. Khandker USA

150 ZainabHodgesCAUSNo body should interfer with others choice of dress code, SPECIALY if is a decent one!!! It does not even make sence to me to make a head scarf such a big threat to society, instead they should worry for the one's who are spreding corruption by showing more than appropriate, this is indeed an insult for others...Please MR. President, put aside your personal opinion, Islam is a beautiful religion, and that is why I decided myself to embrace Islam, 3 years ago, Alhamdulillah!!!
