    Comments: Hey, I hate to dwell on the past, but honestly, the Ball was a highlight of my teen years and early 20's. I still love metal, new and old, but without the Ball, it seems that there is no platform from which these bands can gain any exposure. It's ashame. Bands like Down (who I just saw in concert, Phil is the man), Audioslave, and even Tomahawk could be played side by side with retro shit like the Crue, Motorhead, and even Poison (hey, I bought Reign in Blood the same day I bought Look What the Cat Dragged In, I'm all about extreames). That would be a beautiful thing. VH1 tried the Rock Show, and I appriciate Scott Ian's efforts, but it was not what it could have been. I believe that Metal is coming back, I've been seeing more and more Shout at the Devil T-shirts and some props being given to the 70's/80's/early 90's metal bands. If you look at Sum 41's new stuff, they are totally reviving the whole scene. So for the decision makers at VH 1 and MTV, there is a market. BRING IT BACK, it's time to mix the old with the new, educate a new generation on where their music has come from and introduce us to some of the new sounds that are being birthed from the gutters and garages of the world. BRING BACK THE BALL NOW!!! P.S. - MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THE INTRO MUSIC AND FOOTAGE FROM THE EARLY DAYS, S.O.D. AND TRAIN WRECKS WITH THAT POOR MAN ON THE BICYCLE.

    Comments: I hate MTV. I was there when "Video Killed the Radio Star" by The Buggles premiered, and was a hard core watcher for years. HBB was the best thing to ever happen on MTV, and I was extremely dissapointed when it was thrown by the wayside. MTV is in a downward spiral, and now it is a channel that I ocassionaly pause at, see a rap video, and move on to the next station. How sad that something so revolutionary has become so sickening.

There is so much kickass rock and heavy metal music out there that is not getting the deserved attention these bands should be getting. The rock world is crawling with a huge underground crowd listening to quality rock music and they deserve to hear the music they love. Headbangers Ball was real music, and this TRL crap isn't. There is a huge audience and it is about time that headbangers ball was brought back. MTV sucks, and it is totally geared to young teenage girls and the latest crap that was created by this faggy love everyone culture. What I want, and what every rock fan wants is a show that is dedicated to bands who can still kick it. Bring the Ball back, and by the way Ricky could kick Carson Daly's preppy gelled-hair ass!!!

    Comments: MTV lost a lot of fans when they canceled Headbanger's Ball, I remember when metal heads would still defend MTV against neihsayers just because the Ball was on the channel. Now MTV gets VERY LITTLE good opinions, and comments from your average metal fan. Metal fans are not only a huge percentage of the population, they are the most committed and die-hard fans anyone could wish for, they don't praise a star one day and leave them in the gutter the next like your average pop fanatic, they don't turn their attention easily at all, once you have a metal fan a fan of a band, unless the band does something stupid, they are a fan for life. You can't tell me there isn't some kind of virtue there, in a society like our's right now where your average MTV fan has an attention span less than their shoe size, that the most devoted fan one could EVER wish for is a metal fan.

    Comments: I want the Headbangers Ball to come back on the air more than anything. But I dont believe MTV will ever bring it back for the same reason the show was cancelled in the first place. Its that someone who sits in the front office hates the genre of heavy metal/hard rock music and they are affraid that bringing back the ball would cause a major uprise for music and that the TRL phone lines will heat up requsting more like Sevendust or Flaw or even Mudvayne maybe instead of all that Brittany Spears, Backstreet Boys, N'Sync shit. I just get so pissed of about this because its one thing MTV not bringing it back but with them running all these specials about it. Its as if theyre rubbing it in our faces saying it aint coming back.Wether MTV brings back Headbangers Ball or not is a small factor. But metal music is still strong and the fan base is as loyal as ever and even if MTV dont bring it back so what. Let them shove all that pop, hip hop, fake punk rock shit down everybodys throat all they want. Because while that crap drowns itself out Metal bands continue to work hard putting out great music, touring keeping it real, and earning what they got. As long as that keeps happening Metal will be around forever.
