Name: Anonymous on Jul 11, 2008Comments: It's a great disappointment that ONCE AGAIN Australia is pegged to get HBP so late. It shows how little WB cares about Aussie fans, despite our loyalty over the years. I for one will download it illegally ASAP if the release date is kept so much later than the US and UKFlag

As it is an English speaking country I can't understand why you would annoy your Austrailians fans by treating them unfairly! Shame on you WB! shame on you!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jul 11, 2008Comments: With the omniscence of online technology making cross-border communication transparent, staggering the release date of such a film would be to the detriment of viewer's enjoyment. Not only will eager fans be taunted with the ready accessibility of 'spoilers' during this unnecessary wait but it is not a unfounded conclusion that such a delay may drive dedicated Australia-based fans to the illegal black market, in order to see the film in line with their rest-of-world contemporaries. Besides aligning a December release with the onset of Christmas holidays, there exists little reason I can see for this release to be so late in the year. The books these movies are based on are released simultaneously in English speaking countries - why should the films be any different Franchises such as Lord of the Rings and Star Wars stand testament to the fact a simulaneous worldwide release can not only be possible, but also very good press. Come on... fans were in uproar when Order of the Phoenix was slated for a September release - why this repeatFlag
