Half-blood Prince Release Date Australia/NZ

It has come to the attention of the Undersigned that the Australian and New Zealand release date for Harry Potter and The Half-blood Prince shall be on the 11 December, 2008. We feel that this will not suffice and would like to request it be changed to 21 November, 2008.

The people of Australia and New Zealand are some of the most loyal Harry Potter fans in the world yet are not always given much consideration when it comes to the release dates of the Harry Potter movies.

Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince is released in Australia and New Zealand almost a month after the release dates in the UK and America.

By then the fans won't be able to enjoy the movie because spoilers for the movie will be everywhere they could possibly turn, not to mention many fans will also turn to illegal downloads of the movie as a way to see it earlier, which will result in a loss of ticket sales.


Why can't the devoted Harry Potter fans of Australia and New Zealand have it in November too?

We hope that someone from Warner Brothers will take this petition into great consideration as they have in the past with other petitions regarding the Harry Potter movies.
