Pennsylvania needs educated students. They are still graduating students who cannot read or write. Students who loose self self esteem and become frustrated and embark on the school to prison pipe line.Flag

Name: Jean Kedl on Jun 2, 2010Comments: Our children in schools are suffering right now! Why is it that parents with typical children have many doors and opportunites opened in school? As soon as you have a disabled child; it is mind boggling how many doors closed and opportunities just vanish! Some of those doors are even slammed in our faces! Please give our children the education they need to become active and working members of our society! They want to be our future taxpayers!!Flag

Name: Anna Marie Childress on Jun 2, 2010Comments: I believe the law states that all children are entitled to an education. As many of us know children with disabilities are often moved from class to class and school to school. They are not a priority in our educational system. Some states are extremely bad. Fortunately, there have been some changes made, but unless you really know the system it's call after call, hopefully the children will find the right place to meet their needs.Flag

Educating and supporting children with disabilities creates hardships for school districts, but it is imperative that meet the needs of these kids. Please vote to approve HB 704. Thank you!Flag

Name: Cecelia Thompson on Jun 2, 2010Comments: My son has autism and he is not doing well in school, not because he is not capable, but because he does not have the resources needed for him to be successful. With enough money, the resources can be secured so my son can get access his education so he can compete in this society and not be a burden on the social security system.Flag

Name: Joseph V James on Jun 2, 2010Comments: These are otherwise healthy people. They will be with us like the other typically developing population. So, the more we can do to give them skills, to enable them to take care of themselves, the cheaper for the taxpayer in the long-run. Either way... because you have a big heart, or are a fiscal conservative, or both, this bill makes sense. Please vote for it!Flag
