We, the \"Citizens Against Teacher Misconduct\", call on the Hawley Board of Education to take immediate action to terminate Marlyn Keller from his teaching position at Hawley Public School. On July 13, 2008, Mr. Keller was arrested for suspicion of actions that are unacceptable and unbecoming a teacher and which also impair Mr. Keller

A note to the critics of this petition - Please note that this is not a bulletin board site. This is a place for people to simply support this document as it is worded. If you do not like it, please start your own petition to keep Marlyn Keller employed at Hawley Elementary School. There have been only seven different email addresses represented by the numerous messages criticizing the people who support this. You are simply trying to strike fear into those who are attempting to do what is right by submitting multiple anonymous negative comments. We do not judge Marlyn guilty or innocent of the crimes he is charged with. We are making a simple statement. \"We want the Board of Education that is elected by us to terminate Mr. Keller because of his ongoing failure to conduct himself as a professional.\" This is not his first problem. In the past we have heard that because of tenure he cannot be disciplined for improper actions but we know that is not true and we demand a change. It is time to take action because whether he is found to have committed a crime or not he is still not wanted as a teacher for our students. His criminal guilt or innocense does not affect his professional responsibility. Through his actions he has failed at that qualification too many times. Please create your own petition if you desire to do otherwise, and see what kind of support you gather from the taxpayers of the Hawley Public School District. We will continue to gather signatures supporting our goal and we promise not to challenge your right to free speech by trying to impose fear and guilt on those who support your position. For further reference, all commentary that does not support the petition will be deleted as promptly as possible. Please do not waste your time.
