Comments: This is a bald faced effort to raise money for anti-abortion groups and to further split the Catholic community and its votes. Even the pope is kinder and more rational about President Obama.

Comments: I am proud to be associated with a University that is open to dialog and discussion in regards to political issues. I love my Catholic religion and I love it even more when I hear of the Univeristy encouraging this type of dialog while staying true to the faith.

Comments: Perhaps the ND alum against having President Obama speak will ask ND only to recruit football players that are NOT pro-choice. LOL if that would ever happen.

Comments: OPEN discussion and discourse is at the heart of the life of a great university. We are a DIVERSE nation. We should honor the President of the United States and enter into open dialogue with him about all social policies and issues confronting our nation today. To disrespect the sitting president of the United States because he holds certain beliefs is not in keeping with the democratic traditions of our great country. Other presidents have spoken at Notre Dames and have been given honorary degrees. What makes this situation any different
