Every year in Washington, DC thousands of children and parents have the opportunity the visit the White House to take part in the annual White House Easter Egg Roll.  Families will get to take part in the world famous egg roll, watch musical performances, take part in sports, exhibitions, and storytelling.

Many big names in the entertainment industry take part in storytelling at the Easter Egg Roll.  Last year, Academy-Award winner Reese Witherspoon, author J.K. Rowling, "Sesame Street" star Elmo, and actress Kelly Ripa were among the lucky people who read children stories on the South Lawn.

On March 31, 2013, the White House will be hosting their 135th Easter Egg Roll, and this time, they should invite someone special to read to the children.

I may not be a celebrity, and the media may not know who I am, and that should not be a reason why I should not be reading on the South Lawn.  I was this once in a lifetime opportunity to entertain and help these kids open up their imagination and help visualize what they are being read.
