The status quo holds that /r/atheism is a default subreddit when a member first joins. This petition serves to have /r/atheism removed as a default subreddit in the name of religious equality. This petition does not hold that /r/atheism should be removed from Reddit, or that any other religious subreddit should be made default. This especially inciting considering the fact that /r/atheism seems less about atheism, and more about bashing the religious beliefs of others. Please note, I truly do not believe that /r/atheism should be in anyone penalized or censored, and that this is not a problem with the /r/atheism subreddit itself, but rather the manner in which it is presented to new members.
