Have we not learned from the Holocaust Have we not suffered enough from slavery Isn't it time that we see ourselves as equal HUMAN BEINGS People look the way they do because of the region of the world that their ancestors are from, religions give faith and hope and peace of mind, love is love period. Why are we still fighting over such petty matters If you want to help in at least a small way, sign this petition to stop a man in his quest to spread the hate of the diverse religions of the world. Take a look below at his statements.
Your favorite guru doesn't have supernatural powers. The ash in his hands was hidden in his sleeve. Don't be fooled by these charlatans when they try to get you to believe in yet another religion that people will kill and die for.
Whether you believe in 1 or many gods it is clear that the burden of proof upon you has yet to be met. Of the nearly 330 million gods believed to exist, almost all are easily falsifiable or have been falsified. Clearly the god or gods you worship do not exist, not Brahman, not Krishna, not Shiva, and not Vishnu.
Brahmin priests have fleeced Indian peasants for millennia. There is no atman, karma is a sham, and moksha is unachievable. The religiously sanctioned caste system makes upward mobility almost impossible for some very impoverished people. The Bhagavad Gita is just a story, an obviously false one at that, and the Upanishads and the Vedas are archaic and useless.
The opposition to religion is growing, and will never stop until the world is safe from dangerous false myths. There are many pages against many different religions.
Here is one devoted to religion in general: http://unm.facebook.com/group.phpgid=2225572075
I know that religion doesn't hold all of Earth's false beliefs, but it does have a majority. We may never rid ourselves of all of these false systems of thought, but we don't have to pay them a fake lip service that they don't deserve.

You represent, warrant and agree that no materials of any kind submitted through your account ... will violate or infringe upon the rights of any third party, including ... otherwise unlawful material.
In addition, you agree not to use the Service or the Site to (Intact Terms omitted):
4. upload, post, transmit, share, store or otherwise make available any content that we deem to be harmful, threatening, unlawful, defamatory, infringing, abusive, inflammatory, harassing, vulgar, obscene, fraudulent, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
13. upload, post, transmit, share, store or otherwise make available content that would constitute, encourage or provide instructions for a criminal offense, violate the rights of any party, or that would otherwise create liability or violate any local, state, national or international law;
1. 4 "Variable Variable" (VV) has posted unlawful, abusive, vulgar, hateful, racially and otherwise objectionable material:
a. Unlawful: Inciting religious hatred: "We may never rid ourselves of all of these false systems of thought, but we don't have to pay them a fake lip service that they don't deserve."This is an example of how VV is inciting others to actively disrespect people of any faith other than atheism (taken from main page of Fuck Catholicism).
b. Abusive: Demonstrated by the many groups formed by VV such as Fuck Catholicism, Fuck Islam, Fuck Mormonism, Fuck Judaism, etc.
c. Vulgar: Ibid.
d. Hateful: Ibid.
e. Racially: The group names Fuck Judaism could be racist material against the Jewish people, who are an established race.
f. Otherwise Objectionable: To insult one's religion is to insult a member of that religion. Thus, potentially millions of Facebook users who have witnessed these groups have been insulted by the offensive nature of the groups.
2. 13 Encourage a criminal offense, or violate national or international law: Inciting Religious and Racial Hatred, illegal under English law (ss. 18-23 of the Public Order Act (1986)).
With regards to English Law:
Inciting Religious and Racial Hatred is illegal under ss. 18-23 of the Public Order Act (1986).
While VV appears to be exercising the user's human rights 10 (1) of the Human Rights Act 1998 is not a viable defence, as these rights are regulated under Article 10 (2) of the Human Rights Act 1998:
10 (2) The exercise of these freedoms, since it carries with it duties and responsibilities, may be subject to such formalities, conditions, restrictions or penalties as are prescribed by law and are necessary in a democratic society, in the interests of national security, territorial integrity or public safety, for the prevention of disorder or crime, for the protection of health or morals, for the protection of the reputation or rights of others, for preventing the disclosure of information received in confidence, or for maintaining the authority and impartiality of the judiciary.
"The exercise of these freedoms, since it carries with it duties and responsibilities, may be subject to...the prevention of disorder or crime, for the protection of morals."
In this way, freedom of speech is not unlimited, to the ends of the protection of public order - this is where VV is in violation.Report

Facebook has decided not to delete any Fuck Religion groups for this past year and then some. We will continue growing without any interference. It is not their place to protect religion from the bright ray of truth that atheism shines.Report
