Supporting STEAM | Charter School of Harrisburg!
We need your help! A group of community leaders, educators, parents, and business people are applying to the Pennsylvania Board of Education to open a free college preparatory charter school.
Our goal is to provide a safe environment in which children will achieve academic success through a strong curriculum focused on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) with an added 'A' for Arts that our children need to succeed. This school’s unique academic approach will create a hybrid program that will prepare our kids for college and beyond. The school will be tuition free, and will be open to school children who live within the Harrisburg Public School District.
Pending approval, the charter is planning to open in the summer of 2013 for grades K-4, expanding one grade level per year to become a K-8 program. Please sign the petition below so that this new charter school can become a reality. Please note that by signing, you attest that you are an interested community resident or parent of a school-aged child who could benefit from this opportunity, and you support the mission of this school.
