The Community of Harmony is starting the petetion to allow Palm Trees be added to the list of approved Trees. Palm Trees are a request of a lot of Homeowners in Harmony. They create a beautful atmosephere in front and backyards, especailly for owners with swimming pools. They do not shed leaves, grow higher or create foundation problems like other trees listed on the tree list. We (Community of Harmony) believe that us home owners should have choice to plant palm trees into our community as it is not creating a unattractive look nor does it bring down the value of our community. There has been many compliments of the palm trees in the community. There are many residents in Harmony have not or did not recieve a letter upon closing on their home from the builder of the approval trees and was unaware that there were infact a tree approval list. Several residents have already spend money and planted palm trees because they/ we were unaware that there was a palm tree restriction from PCMI.
