Name: Sam Lewis on Dec 3, 2012Comments: Sounds like a similar situation is occurring that happened to the Rainbow in Digbeth a few years ago. Thanks to petitions like these that episode was overcome and the Rainbow continues to host great nights, so for Birmingham's sake, I hope this response has a similar impact.Flag

Name: Graham Beck on Dec 3, 2012Comments: To build flats in that position is crazy building there would ruin the lively hoods of many people who work at the H&H.and kill a venue that has been going for years and is a popular place for people to meet and enjoy good music. B'ham has very few local live music venues why cripple another one .Flag

Name: Ed King on Dec 3, 2012Comments: Having worked with a number of venue operators, across licensing, operational and programming agendas, I feel the Hare & Hounds is a well managed venue. It would be a significant loss to the arts and music communities of Kings Heath, and the wider city, if neighbouring developments were to create tensions in this mixed use area. I trust Birmingham City Council will consider the benefits of the Hare & Hounds, both economically and culturally.Flag

Name: Jason Smith on Dec 3, 2012Comments: If planning permission is granted for these flats behind the Hare and Hounds it should be made clear to any potential buyers that they will be living next to a live music venue and they will experience noise pollution. It should be written into the deeds that this is to be expected and they are purchasing somewhere next to a vibrant culture venue that was there first and they have no right to complain about it. A housing development should not put the vibrancy of an area under threat - Kings Heath is already looking lacklustre, please son't kill it all together.Flag
