Comments: Paying for testing for toys made from natural materials such as wood, wool, and silk ,as well as, toys that use already certified non toxic finishes will burden small natural toy makers, if not put them out of business! Having to test each style of product , even though they are made from the same materials, is an unreasonable request. Please allow materials to be tested instead of product or style.

Comments: There needs to be a way to preserve small businesses and high quality items while protecting our children from cheap crap items that should never have been sold in the first place.

Comments: It is a travesty that in the course of proteting our children from unsafe toys Congress is enacting legislation that penalizes the very people most concerned about unsafe made in China Toys... the small manufacturer who works tirelessly to create unique, creative and imaginative playthings that are free of Phthlates, PVC and other harmful chemicals. At the same time, made in China does not mean made unsafely, however, the Legislation on the brink of enactment will hurt not only the American, Canadian and European Independent Toy Manufacturer but also the small Toy manufacturer who conducts business in China and who produces safe finished products. COngress must reconsider this legislation and consider the massive across the board impact this Legislation will have on not only Manufacturers but also retailers, manufacturer sales representative as well as the consumer. It will cost untold jobs at a time when this country cannot afford to further increase the ranks of the unemployed!!!
