First of all Handguns play a very important rule in protecting the home I am only 20 and I am married with a girl due in may. I have a handgun in my night stand my wife knows where it is at also. We live in a country where the worst place to be is in your home. Before I got my handgun I could not sleep at night because at every sound I heard I wondered if it was someone I should worry about trying to get in my home. And I knew that if someone were to break in my home I was defencless the only thing I would be able to do is let them shoot me. Now if someone breaks in I can defend my wife my self and our unborn child. If you think about it and I mean think hard about it if we lose our right to bear arms how will we protect our selves. the police can be called but they will be to late and sure they can find the person who did it. But if I stop the person before they can harm me and my family it makes a little more since. And if they ban all guns there will be millions more killed every year all because we want to follow the law and can't protect ourselves. You are still going to have criminals with ways to get guns nomatter what anyone does. and that don't make a bit of since to me because if most of the criminals have guns and no one else does except for law enforcement the criminals own everything because what are we going to do to protect ourselves. one last thing even with out guns people will just find another way to kill people.

You hear tragedies about guns and kids... Parents/guardians must responsibly store weapons of any kind. You hear more stories of children dying in car accidents than from guns.
