PETITION OPPOSING PLANNED PARENTHOOD CLINIC IN VIRGINIA BEACH

We, the undersigned, object to the presence of Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion chain, in our local communities.

We are particularly concerned by the building of a facility owned by
Planned Parenthood at 515 Newtown Road, Virginia Beach, VA and its proximity to our children’s schools: 1.3 miles from Bayside Middle School and the Tri-Campus, the location of 3 elementary schools; 1.03 miles from the pre-K to 8th grade school of the Church of St Gregory the Great; And, 0.069 miles for Gateway Christian School, which offers classes Pre-K to 12th grade.

It appears to us that Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Virginia concealed its identity and intended activities by building under the name, "Virginia Beach Health Center". It further appears to us that they did this in an attempt to avoid local community objections.

We are concerned that chemical, medical, and surgical abortions will be provided at the facility, in which case we are adamantly opposed to the facility’s presence in our community.

We respectfully request the City Council of Virginia Beach to prevent the opening of this facility by any and all means available.
