Their versatility, presence and fantastic characters are desired throughout the world (just look at how many are exported to other countries). It is frankly appalling that more attention is not given to our Native ponies; the Olympia final provides everything an audience could wish for - "Rags to Riches" stories, truly magnificent animals, and an emotional competition, for all who watch and compete in it.

We have more native breeds than any other country and they should be promoted to show potential pony owners just what they can do and how much they can acheive. Many are on the rare breeds list and this would help with getting the numbers back up to where they should be!

There are many people who are involved in these animals and are enthusiastic about them, and many more who just don't know that much about the breeds so they should be promoted! At the Hoys M&M final there was not a spare seat to be had and even standing room was at a premium. Olympia is even more the Holy Grail as has been stated. This is definitely a ratings winner.
