Please release "Hamlet" with John Simm to DVD.

In 2010 John Simm appeared in Shakespeare's Hamlet, at Sheffield Crucible, and the production scored a great success.

The actor has fans both domestically and worldwide who wished to see his performance but could not make the journey to Sheffield. The decision to film the play could open the production to untold numbers of people and thus make them happy.

Therefore, we respectfully ask Sheffield Theatres and BBC to allow filming and subsequent release of this production to DVD for the worldwide audience.

  • Ray Setterfield Saw him perform 'Oh what a rogue and peasant slave am I' speech on TV. Mesmerising. More please.

  • anoushka alexander I have a severe disability and so I can't get to the theatre at all, and I was gutted to miss this. I would be thrilled if this could be released on dvd.

  • Tammy Brigham Hamlet is my favorite play ever. I have heard nothing but praises of John Simm's performance, have seen his recitation of one scene on YouTube, and, as an American unable to attend the British production, would love to see this performance in its entirety.
