Name: Calvin Willhite on Jun 15, 2007Comments: It is EXTREMELY short-sighted not to have SMART in Marin. For example, the League of Women Voters officially supports SMART. Why First is congestion relief and the second relates to work-force housing since the increased density associated with affordable housing requires all or nearly all elimination of motor vehicle parking stalls. Without SMART, it becomes ever more difficult to meet state-mandated housing targets especially now that Hamilton residential is all but built out.Flag

Name: John Appleton on Jun 15, 2007Comments: The Hundreds of Senior Citizens and hundreds of residents, along with all the hundreds of employees here at Hamilton, would be well served by having safe, reliable, clean transportation available. With today's high price and the threat of global warming, we must all do our part to use public transportation. Putting a station where people will use it makes sense. A smart Station located near the new shopping center makes sense. Putting it near 4000 residents and employees makes sense. Putting in near the senior citizens of both Hamilton Villas and Los Robles Park makes sense. Voting for representives that apply common sense, makes sense.Flag

Also, there are plenty of residents that could use a station to commute to work. Hamilton seems ot be the most logical site.Flag

Name: Tamara Maimon on Jun 18, 2007Comments: We desparately need a more efficient form of mass transportation in Marin and Sonoma Counties and the SMART train is a good start. I hope that residents can put their self interests aside and look to the future needs of our community and transportation's effects on the enviornment. Let's do the right thing and support the SMART train. I fully support a SMART train in Hamilton.Flag

Name: Veronica Valero on Jun 18, 2007Comments: By attending the Hamilton Forum on a potential Smart station, I learned the facts and my safety and health concerns were addressed. I totally support a station at this site. It makes sense: people that work and live there will have easy access and will most likely use it versus the Y option at 101 and 237. This is not just a Hamilton issue, it's a Novato issue and broad community issue the goes beyond boarders. Global Warming is real...this decision also has a tremendous impact on the future generations. Let's keep open discussions and open minds in seeking solutions together.Flag

Name: Andres Perez on Jun 18, 2007Comments: Without accepting all of the foregoing as true as I have not personally verified everything, I support the rail station that was previously planned for Hamilton Field. Please support the station if you want to make Hamilton (and Southern Novato, in general) part of the rest of Novato. Reject it if you want to continue to isolate us. You might also want to consider splitting Hamilton/Ignacio from Novato so we can start our own community with an accessible downtown.Flag
