Parking and Safe Access to the Farmington Canal PETITION
I urge the Hamden Traffic Commission to implement the Whitneyville Civic Association's proposed plan to:
1) Install a parking lane on the south side of Putam Avenue between Newhall and Clifford Streets.
2) Install "sharrow / shared-road" signage to encourage sharing of the road between bicyclists and automobiles on the south side of Putnam Avenue between Newhall and Clifford Streets.
3) Install a bicycle lande on Augur and Newhall Streets to Putnam Avenue.
4) Install bicycle lanes on the north and south sides of Putnam Avenue between Newhall Street and the Farmington Canal.
