Name: Charice Silverman on Feb 1, 2004State: CAComments: Please please halt a freeway rebuild. I used to live at Duboce and Valencia before it was demolished and have experienced congestion, soot galore and speeding non-residents zooming through that neighborhood. I thought taking it down originally meant Taking it DownFlag

Name: Jasmine Gavam on Feb 1, 2004State: CAComments: I lived on Duboce and Valencia for six years and had the gloomy, homeless infested. dirty freeway nearby and it was horrible and noisy. Please do not rebuild the freeway offramp. Try and lessen noise and car pollution. Plant more trees, add benches, make San Francisco beautiful. Please!Flag

Traffic in this area is already a nightmare, and unless you also plan a program for the homeless who will be residing underneath, this ramp will have severely negative implications on the surrounding community.Flag

Name: Heather Cherry on Feb 2, 2004State: CAComments: Please halt construciton until further studies of alternative touch-downs can be completed and considered. A freeway ramp directly onto Market and its pedestrian crosswalks with straight and right turn options only at this time of giant SUVs is INSANE! The current plan was rushed to the ballot box, where it did not belong. Hell - I cannot believe how many folks with whom I've spoken who VOTED for this thing who had no idea it would be rebuilt. They just say "tear down" and voted for it, and now are flipping out. I would like more from uran planning than this.Flag

Name: Jon Hepworth on Feb 8, 2004State: CAComments: There are already a number of freeway 101 on-ramps south of Market Street. The Market street ramp is redundant to existing south of Market street freeway access. The proposed ramp not only removes a critical swath of valuable urban real estate in a neighborhood heavily populated with car-free pedestrains, but also will decrease the quality of life for freeway-bound automobiles by further icreasing the delivery of congestion-generating automibiles onto the freeway. The proposed freeway ramp will worsen San Fransico's automobile over-population problem.Flag

Name: Paul Scriver on Feb 9, 2004State: CAComments: I was so relieved to see the blight disappear when they tore down the elevated freeway. It is a shame to see that the board of supervisors is so short sighted that they would approve this ugly new plan. Why can't the ramp be smaller and touch down earlierFlag
