Name: Laura DiBiase on Jan 13, 2013Comments: We encourage our children to participate in sports and this will most likely eliminate girls hockey. We had "just enough" girls to make a team this year WITH Rep players so where will girls come from next year? My daughter is having a VERY positive experience playing with peers her own age as well as senior girls. Let's allow everyone to tryout and may the best be chosen. That is life.Flag

Name: David Garton on Jan 13, 2013Comments: HSSSA girls hockey should continue to allow rep players to participate. Not only will this ensure the viability of the program in our region but also ensure that our schools are competitive provincially with virtually all other regions, which allow rep players to play. Let the Halton rep players fully participate in their school's life.Flag

It is four short years and I know my Granddaughter's high school coach is enthusiatic and a positive influence on her life. Let the girl's play!!Flag

Name: Randall on Jan 13, 2013Comments: The Central High girls teams were both a good mix of rep and non-rep players for the past two years and indeed no players were excluded who signed up. I sense the girls teams are being painted with the same broad-brush as the boys, yet simply don't compete for positions, so where is the sense in this initiative??Flag

Name: Avery on Jan 14, 2013Comments: High school hockey is so much fun and it makes school so enjoyable for many of us. Without rep players on the high school teams, there won't be enough players to make up any team at all and it will completely take out girls hockey in general, which would NOT be good. So many girls love the sport and taking it away from us isn't fair at all. Let us play.Flag
