| 51 | Some very close friends of mine have left schools in very deprived areas around Doncaster to attend Hall Cross, all of whom commented on the excellent educational standards there, and improved learning environment compared with their KS4 schools. These people chose Hall Cross to give them a better chance, I am very doubtful they would have chosen the new college as a substitute. We hear bad news about 'the hub' quite regularly, and none about this excellent historical and well reputed school. Keep Hall Cross and keep what good standards we have. |

| 58 | This atrocity is due to 2 things : 1. The speculated academy system for the schools is just a cop out for the LEA because they cannot be bothered to do their job. 2. The council just want an excuse to build more houses due to the encroaching overpopulation crisis. And they're telling us the birth rates are decreasing? |

| 62 | I atteneded the 6th form as a previous student of Hungerhill (which doesn't have a sixth form), as unlike Danum and the college they did all the subjects I required. If the school is closed it proves a problem for Hungerhill students who traditionally go to Danum, Hall Cross or College leaving them with just the two options. Also it has much better transport links than Danum with direct buses into the town centre. |

| 78 | This whole 'Building Schools for the future' is absolute rubbish!! Hall Cross is a fantastic school as it is, one of the few in my life that i thoroughly enjoy attending! It works fantastic as a big school of mixed cultures and gender. It has also been around since 1350(!!) which surely means it must be good otherwise it would have been closed down hundreds of years ago. SAVE OUR UPPER SCHOOL SITE!!!!! |
