The school board has officially preserved the half-day kindergarten option for our families. I am deeply appreciative of the clarity and conviction everyone brought to this discussion. I had half day when I was a kid and I turned out fine. More school isnt always better school. Leave it alone.
The price of daycare is already crazy. If they force full day k, that just adds more cost for families who prefer the half day schedule.
Why rush their childhood? 5 is way to young for 8 hours of school every single day.
Total overreach by the school board. Keep half day an option please!!!!

My son isnt ready for full days yet. He still needs his afternoon nap and time to just be a kid at home. Parents should decide what works best.
