Halewood Jujitsu club was formed almost 18 years ago by Sensei's Norman and Andrea McCaffrey. The base of which is Halewood Leisure Centre.
Halewood Leisure Centre is operated by knowsley council, they have taken the decision to close the centre two hours early, Monday to Friday as a cost cutting exercise.
The outcome of this is that it will not be possible to run both Adult and Children's classes due to time restraints.
The children's class will be massively affected to the point where many children will have to leave the club and possibly stop participating in the sport altogether! This is totally unacceptable to the students, parents and especially the Sensei's who have put in so much effort to build a hugely successful club.
This Petition is aimed at knowsley council.
This petition is for the current closing time of Halewood Leisure Centre, on a Monday to remain unchanged.
We sincerely thank you for listening to our plight and if you feel you agree, please sign the petition below.
Knowsley Council thinks they can just slash our hours in the dark without anyone noticing. This momentum proves they are wrong and we are not going anywhere.

Knowsley Council thinks they can kill our club to save a few pennies and hope we just stay silent. We are about to hit one hundred signatures so push this link out to everyone you know right now and force them to pay attention.

Knowsley Council thinks they can just slash our hours and hope we disappear quietly. We are almost at 250 signatures so blast this link everywhere right now to show these bureaucrats that we are not going anywhere.

They, the council are doing the same to Bridgefield Swimming Club. It's pathetic. Let's hope someone on the council has watched the news tonight on how important physical activity is and how it shapes the children of today to learn about obesity xx

Sensei Dave williams is an amazing teacher, I went there for a year and unfortunately stopped. It is an amazing club and should continue.

My son loves this club and it does so much for his confidence. Why punish the kids like this??

Absolute joke. They keep going on about healthy lifestyles then shut down the places where people actually go to keep fit. Sort it out Knowsley.

So frustrating that people, especially children miss out on classes just because this stupid goverment has to cut council run activities to save money !!!
Lets just let the kids roam the streets, bored or sit for hours in front of the tv all evening ....
Gets me sooooo mad !!!!!

We need clubs like this in Knowsley, the decision needs to be reversed.
