  • Nicholas Fern (Born and raised Windward local and avid hiker) The Haiku Stairs hike is one of the most enjoyable and beautiful ways to experience Oahu. It would be a real tragedy and loss to locals and tourists alike if it were to be shut down simply because of access. There is plenty of area there for a small parking lot. If access like that were made available the residents wouldn't need to be disturbed by people sneaking in at night or parking in front of their houses.

  • Michael Cashman I keep reading it is an ownership issue. Is it no one knows who splits the proceeds from all the "Aloha for sale"? It's simple, I don't want to step on someones flowers, nore wake sleeping kids at night. I just want to taste a few pure things in life. I believe climbing these stairs and enjoying the mountain/sea myst and sunshine along with the views is what little nature my generation has left to appreciate.

  • Kevin McCarron Please keep this beautiful landmark open. I personally have never had an opportunity to experience the awesome vistas. I would love to have that opportunity and have that opportunity available for my children and grandchildren. Mahalo!
