Comments: it is a cricket ground already. Nothing changes apart from some structures being erected. There is no further encroachment into the remainder of Hagley Park. Go for it I say. All structures are tastefully done so I don't see the issue. Get on with it!!!

Comments: Without an international and provincial home for Canterbury Cricket our sport will simply fade away. Without a test venue to bring in visitors how can we help retail businesses and tourism get off the floor in Canterbury. The council must show some vision and support this venture to help restore the worldwide perception of Christchurch.

Comments: Our Sister City Adelaide proudly boasts the most beautiful and accessible cricket ground in Australia. I fully support developing the existing cricket oval on Hagley Park so that residents of Christchurch similarly have an accessible international ground that is appropriate and fitting to our city.

Comments: Since the beginning of Hagley in this city, cricket has been played on this turf. That is all that is being suggested here. From Village Green to Hagley Green. This is cricket's rightful place. Club cricket is being catered for. Nothing has changed.
