Name: Frank Matcham on Jan 31, 2010Comments: Last Call? As we see the last two shows at the Theatre this weekend before we enter Clarie Middleton's (interim-chief exec) 'Grey Period' of uncertainty for the future of The Hackney Empire. I hear that the 'Empire Elders' are continuing to meet on a regular basis to carry on their campaign to 'Keep the Empire Open' and you can contact them at this email address frankmatcham@live.co.uk The Hackney Gazette and the Elders have secured a date for the Public meeting to discuss the future of the Empire on 25th February. The meeting will be in the main house or in the Pinter depending on how many book . The sale of the Bullion room Office is still going ahead subject to planning approval. So my friends, we are about to enter a period of continuing uncertainty, please suport The Elders in their ongoing campaign to secure a certain future for our Theatre. Meanwhile book tickets for the Public meeting. My best wishes, Frank MatchamFlag
