The Simpson College is kicking students off of the staff network. This means that students will no longer be able to access services such as Steam. This means that console boxes such as Roku, Apple TV, XBOX, and PlayStation will no longer be practically functional.

While of course these services are not essential to the advancement of our education, we have seen that it does not cause any problems to have these services on the network. Simpson is not a cheap school, therefore it seems fair to ask for such things.

Keep in mind also that the school has cut free cable, further reducing the outlet for recreational relaxation available to the masses. This was done to free up funds, with the promise that WiFi speeds and connectivity would be improved. It is perfectly viable that these improvements could be used with box-top consoles and gaming systems.

Sign this petition to let the school know how many of the student body demand greater freedom on the WiFi at this school.
