Please show your support by signing this petition. The San José Redevelopment Agency is closing the Entrepreneur Center, a Silicon Valley resource that has served thousands of beginning individuals to initiate their businesses and has enabled tens of thousands of existing businesses to grow their companies through the consulting services of SCORE, SBDC and access to SBA guaranteed micro loans and 504 SBA guaranteed loans to purchase real estate for their company. The Entrepreneur Center was a partnership between the City of San José and the SBA which acquired industry partners to contribute $2 million dollars to remodel the Entrepreneur Center into a world class facility to support the business community of Silicon Valley in their commercial development. The Greater San José Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's role as a service provider to its constituency that includes the entire San Francisco Bay Area and beyond is negatively affected by the unexpected closing of the Entrepreneur Center. In addition the Entrepreneur Center has been a showcase for visiting foreign dignitaries and the countless foreign Trade Delegations from Europe, Africa, Asia, South East Asia, and Latin America which the Greater San José Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has hosted at the behest of the United States State Department and the United States Department of Commerce from Washington, D.C.
