| 201 | Robin McMillan | One wonders how intelligent politicians can be (or the citizens who allow them to continue this activity) when they pass laws restricting the means of defence of decent law abiding citizens while at the same time they must realise that lawbreakers ignore the law and arm themselves regardless. |
| 202 | Peter De La Mare | I wholeheartedly agree with the petitioners comments. Let us defend ourselves ! |
| 203 | Paul Richards | |
| 204 | Ben Thompson | An armed society is a polite society. When will society accept this truth? I know when! It will be when idiological nutcases are kept out of office! |
| 205 | Julie R. | I believe it has come for the UK and all its good people to demand justice. It is just unthinkable to believe that gun control will do anything to reduce violent crime. History and statistics show that is not the case. A certain U.S. Congressmen used the tragedy at Virginia Tech. University to mess with the 2nd Amendment. |
| 206 | shaunmeegan@yahoo.co.uk | most stupid law EVER !!! one man can finish a sport through one mindless act !!! |

| 210 | thomas beaton | |
| 211 | Tim Norton | this is what we need to tackle muders, violent crime, robberies, knife crime, assult etc. it would also deter people from wanting to commit the crimes, because not many people will want to take the chance of getting shot. |
| 212 | mathew c perrine sr | by all means, the law abiding citizen needs to be able to defend themselves. |

| 220 | Chris D | i agree totally are gun laws just mean law abiding citizens dont have them. But criminals dont follow the law so will still get guns from their sources so by having are strick gun laws doesnt take them of our streets or off criminals, it just takes them off law abiding peolpe leaving us totally defenceless. i have never seen a real gun in real life and if could wave a magic wand removing every gun from this earth i would but that wont happen so i would feel safer having a proper licenced firearm of my own legaly held for self defence and at a club. After all guns dont kill peolpe, peolpe kill peolpe! |

| 235 | Tim Mycock | I can neither add to, or improve, on the salient words of Mr Thomas Jefferson.
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve to encourage rather than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."
Thomas Jefferson

More liberal recent gun laws have slashed serious crime in the US.
