| 253 | Nick Weeks | Gay people form families, and may have kids. Straight people may get AIDS. Gay and straight are NOT separate species - and the law rightly recognises this.
A full investigation - and if appropriate prosecution - of British Land would be in order. |
| 254 | Anonymous | How on earth can you ban something like World AIDs Day? It is not just for gay people but everybody. What a poor misguided soul you must be! |

| 258 | Andy Bent | I don't understand why the centre managersdon;t think a gay and lesbian chartity is appropriate? DO they tyhink w somehow exist without ever going shopping? Or do they just think we don't have families... |
| 259 | Anonymous | I have lived in and around the woking area all my life. I am horrified at such a biggotted attitude. This sort of prejudice must be challenged and Mr Keeping must be made to explain his actions. |

| 261 | David Laing | Im disappointed that such a narrow minded view has been taken in what I thought was a very open minded part of the country. |
| 262 | Christopher Barron | This discrimination needs to stop. It is not acceptable.
This is encouraging ignorance and stigma. How rude. |
| 263 | Marcus Mansukhani | With places like this you should vote with your feet and spread the reputation that it's not a place to shop. Once retailers notice a trend they will start to leave. |

| 266 | Mark Radford | I feel that this sort of discrimination has no place in the 21st Century. |

| 269 | mikey | completely rediculous situation, proving again that we still need to fight to get reecognised as the same kind of citizen as everyone else and that homophobia still seems to be an acceptable prejudice |
| 270 | Ben Cohen | |
| 271 | Dr Russel Ayling | I take particular issue with the stall being conceptualised as the promotion of gay and lesbian activity. HIV/AIDS affects us all - gay, straight or otherwise - and a shopping centre is entirely the place for education and awareness raising about this important issue. Shame on you, Mr Keeping. |
| 272 | Nick Oosthuizen | Wake up what year r u living in
how sad |
| 273 | Anonymous | This is discrimination nothing else and should be challenged legally. |
| 274 | Avril Mackeznie | |
| 275 | Eddie Hughes | Gay people have families too! |
| 276 | Anonymous | Such a shameful display of biggotry has no place in 2008 and I hope that Mr Keeping finds himself removed from his employment as a result of this breach of the discrimination laws |
| 277 | Lance Whiteford | Such a shameful display of biggotry has no place in 2008 and I hope that Mr Keeping finds himself removed from his employment as a result of this breach of the discrimination laws |
| 278 | Keith Blakemore-Noble | Presumably Mr Keeping believes that only straight people should be allowed to go to his shopping centre?
Bigotry such as that Mr Keeping is continuing to display has no place in modern society, |
| 279 | Simon Atkinson | British Land plc need to make their equal opportunities statement explicit. Such bigotted and miguided policies need challenging at the highest levels. |

| 282 | Anonymous | I fail to see how the presence of this charity in the shopping centre on World Aids Day can be seen as "the promotion of lesbian or gay activity". What, precisely, is this 'activity'? If Peacocks is a "family shopping centre" can we assume that single people, divorcees and civil partners cannot use it? What group of people qualify as a 'family'? |
| 283 | Nic Mesure | |
| 284 | ADRIAN LIBERTO | Common sense and the law are on your side, so only maliciousness on the part of those who should be upholding our rights, could allow your just cause to fail. |

| 290 | Andy Derwent | I am in support of this petition; it is not acceptable for a shopping centre to discriminate on the basis of sexuality. As HIV/AIDS is not a syndrome that effects only gay and lesbian people, it is also inaccurate to make this kind of link. |
| 291 | Anonymous | This kind of thing is exactly why I moved from Woking a year ago. It shouldn't happen - really sad that it still does. |
| 292 | Glyn | Surely, in the 21st century, this sort of bigoted attitude is no longer appropriate? |
| 293 | Anonymous | |
| 294 | Malcolm Thomson | This is pathetic, Do we not have parents and are therefore part of a "Family" ?
Just because we are gay doesn't mean we are not family people! |

| 298 | Anonymous | I cannot believe this kind of disgusting behaviour still exists. If I were to act like this in my job, I'm sure I'd be up for the sack. |

| 300 | Rob | I read with interest, Mr Keeping openly states that any promotion of gay/lesbian activity would be deemed inapproriate, WOW he is a brave man making such a bold statement to the press and an ignorant one for thinking he will get away with it.
Change the word 'gay' to 'black' or 'asian' and imagine the outcry. |
