We as residents of Hughes, call on the Territory and Municipal Services Directorate to investigate the installation of traffic calming measures outside the Hughes Primary School on Groom Street.

The street is busy with school kids, Mums & Dads dropping off and picking up before and after school, and many people out walking including residents from St Andrews. Hughes also has a big cyclist community and riders use Groom Street to ride in and out of the suburb.

We believe TAMS should investigate traffic calming measures along Groom Street which ensure traffic speed is reduced without inconveniencing pedestrians and riders.
