This petition serves to confirm that we request the resolution written below to be brought forward to the Town Board of Beekman to commend the years of service of Greg Brown, Maintenance Director for the Town of Beekman. Greg's dedication to the facilities, grounds, and recreational areas of the Town has been instrumental in maintaining the quality of life that we have come to enjoy. WHEREAS, Greg Brown has served the citizens of the Town of Beekman as our Maintenance Mechanic for many years, and; WHEREAS, Greg first was appointed to in March of 2001, and; WHEREAS, in the course of Greg’s duties, he consistently goes “above and beyond” the scope of his job requirements to provide first-class service for the residents including:  Regularly exceeding standard operating hours to prepare fields for public use;  Consistently foregoing vacations and sick days to accommodate town residents;  Maintaining a high level of service in spite of a reduction in departmental expenditures while simultaneously experiencing an increased workload. WHEREAS, Greg’s work ethic is deserving of recognition, and; WHEREAS, the attached signatures reflect a community desirous to commend Greg Brown for his years of dedicated service, and; WHEREAS, Greg Brown has demonstrated himself to be a Friend of the Town of Beekman. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Board of the Town of Beekman, on behalf of its citizens, the Town Board commends Greg Brown for his many years of distinguished public service and extends its sincerest thanks and appreciation for his time, his considerable skills and his many contributions to the Town of Beekman.
