Kevin Lovell, United States2 years ago Comments: I have worked at the Beekman recreational facilities many of the summers that Mr. Brown has been employed with the town. I can guarantee that you will not find a more diligent worker, who truly takes pride in what he does. All of the sports fields are immaculate and ready to play rain or shine because of Mr. Brown's efforts. I believe it would be an absolute travesty not only to Mr. Brown, but to the entire Beekman community for the town to not find a way to retain this piece of their human capital. I have never lived in the town of Beekman nor do I even reside in the State of New York any more. Therefore I have nothing to gain by speaking on Mr. Brown's behalf. The one thing I do know is the town would be losing a phenomenal asset and the town's parks would quickly deteriorate due to the fact that the quality of work would not even come close to Mr. Brown's. I would like to conclude my statement by stating that I find it ridiculous, a complete waste of the town's time, and taxpayers dollars to be discussing whether or not Mr. Brown is an asset worth retaining. I hope this motion to remove Mr. Brown's position is put down immediately and no more of the town's time is wasted on such a ridiculous motion.
