I as an active Citizen of India understand my Fundamental Constitutional duty to preserve the environment of the Country and thus state that the Heritage Pond and the Fruit Nursery in Sector-26, Chandigarh should remain undisturbed by any building plans. The place is of Educational , environmental ,heritage and aesthetic importance and any plans to construct building at that place would be against the spirit of sustainable development . I strongly recommend the Chandigarh Administration that the place be preserved as a natural site for generations to come and may be developed on lines of Eco Tourism rather than building up Club or institutes. Also the water supply to the Nursery should be restored at the earliest as the nursery plants are dying . I pledge my support to the 'Green Warriors' Campaign to preserve this important place in the City of Chandigarh. Think Global act local! Thanks

Ridiculous to kill off the nursery plants. We need more green spaces in sec 26 not more buildings. Save our heritage!

This pond has been here forever. Why does everything in Chandigarh need to be turned into concrete? Leave the trees and the water alone.
