Anonymous | All of Bur Oak Ave that runs through Greensborough is a problem with speeding and not stopping at stop signs. This problem needs to be addressed by installing speed ramps that discourage this.
Marc Ronne | I completely agree with the above statements and have voiced my concerns to the town of Markham last year.
| 3 | Tanya Nathan-Ronne | I live on Bur Oak and I witness the blatant disregard to the rules of the road on a daily basis. The drivers completely disobey the speed limit. When I cross Bur Oak with my dog, the drivers tend to speed up instead of slow down when they see me. The aggression these drivers display on a continuous basis is a recipe for many serious accidents to occur. I have witnessed many drivers using the Stop at the Go Station and at Alfred Patterson on Bur Oak as a YIELD instead of a stop.
Please respect our petition and act upon it immediately.
Sincerely,
Tanya Nathan-Ronne |

Anonymous | Why would you remove the stop sign at Park Place and Williamson as well. What purpose does it serve? The more stop signs the better. Removing stops signs allows drivers to pick up more speed. It is only a matter of time before someone is hurt. I have already seen people arguing about the removal of the stop sign!
Anonymous | I have three kids and live on Alfred Paterson so I know how serious this speeding problem is. Specifically, this problem is along Alfred Paterson from the Bur Oak intersection to 16th Avenue. There's also a very annoying biker who speeds (gotta be at least 80km/h) very loudly past midnight frequently trying to wake up the whole street.

Blake Medulan | I count at least 10 cars on weekday nights going right through the stop sign without slowing
Kent Duong | Speeding spot check on Alfred Paterson Drive is urged due to frequence of speedings mostly on afternoon and evening.

Karen Brennan | I am a mother of 2 young children, and have been in harms way while crossing at this particular 4 way stop, when, on at least 3 occasions, motorists drove throught the stop sign while I was crossing with my children. I do not believe motorists have complete disregard for the signs, rather I know that it is a problem of the signs' visibility, as explained from my out of town guests. Fix this problem before someone is killed.
Anonymous | I am in complete agreement of the above stated petition.
Michael Wong | To many near misses to count. Our area is in desperate need of traffic/speed control systems.
Anonymous | I also wish there to be a 4-way stop at St.Julia's elementary school on Bur Oak. This is an intersection where most children cross and a lot of children do so after the the crossing guards have left.
Anonymous | You can also find drivers speeding along Alfred Patterson from Bur Oak to 16th ave. Even though signs are everywhere indicating 40 is the speed limit, drivers keeps zooming up and down like it is a Nascar track. Something also needs to be done on this section.

Michael Telan | I live on Williamson Road, which is also a favourite among speeders. I signed this petition with the understanding that the changes will not be limited to the Alfred Paterson/Bur Oak intersection only. The whole Greensborough community must be taken into account.

Anonymous | In addition to the streets mentioned, I would also like to point out the Williamson Rd is also a popular street for street racers. Something needs to be done and fast.

Anonymous | The issue is also a concern for traffic Going from 16th Avenue NORTH AND SOUTH on Alfred Paterson and there are many people in exceed of 80 KHM.
Anonymous | This is a very serious matter that requires immediate attention from the Town of Markham, lest a traffic fatality occurs in the meantime due to inaction.

Anonymous | I agree with all the comments. Also, Bur Oak is becoming a thru way for trucks. Because they are not allowed on Main St. Markham, all the trucks take Bur Oak to get to the next major road. Something needs to be done to control the speeders, bad drivers and trucks that congest Bur Oak.
Heather Gintoli | I live on Alfredpaterson Dr. and the amout of traffic and speeding that occurs on my street is insane!!! My children are not allowed to play in the front yard at all because of the reckless driving that takes place on alfredpaterson Dr. Usually on the weekends and the later parts of the evenings the speeding gets even faster. I have actually sat on my porch and yelled at the cars that go by at a ridiculous speed. More stop signs and speed bumps would deffinetly reduce the risk of speeding! Please consider doing something about this problem for the safety of all the children hat live in the greensborough area!

Tharsini Annalingam | Yes, I think speeding is a major issue on this residential area. I do not want another kid get hurts. I recommend speed bumps.

Please take some actions. |
Anonymous | It is definitely a very good suggestion. Remind people to care about others especially there are so many kids around that area and schools are there too.
Amber Popovski | I really hope something can be done as I have 2 small children of my own. The speeding on Alfred Paterson is a big concern as there are so many children always out playing.

kugan kandiah | I think a better idea to benift all of us is that you should put signal lights ,at the main intersection of bur oak and alfred patterson.
