A list of Members of the Green Party of BC who believe that the HST should be opposed. The BC HST is a very un-green tax as it removes all exemptions (and therefore financial incentive) for green home retrofits. This will also slash much needed Transit funding. As Greens we fundamentally support HSTs however the tax that the BC Liberals are putting forward will hurt all citizens especially those in University and those trying to live Green. We beilive that the Provincial Council must take action to oppose the HST. This Petition has been endorsed by Taylor Verrall, Youth Representative to the GPBC Provincial Council and will be presented at the GPBC Provincial Council Meeting in West Vancouver on October 3rd.
