This petition is in support of enforcing the original protective covenants for Greenbriar Subdivision in Claxton, GA. The petition further supports the denial of any property owner to obtain a permit for anything other than to build a "stick-built" home in this neighborhood. One of the covenants is again in danger of being violated. Stated in these protective covenants, "no mobile/manufactured/pre-built homes" shall be allowed. One of the original homeowners wanted to have a temporary mobile home placed on their property (for the purpose of building a permanent home) and the request was denied. However, over the years, a couple of manufactured/trailers have been moved in--again at the protest of neighbors. This petition is evidence to support the homeowners and neighbors in this subdivision to help retain single home property values and to maintain the conformity of a neighborhood--not a trailer park. Signatures on this petition are those people supporting the protective covenants and requesting the denial of any permits for mobile/manufactured/pre-built structures. Furthermore, if permits have been issued, this is a formal request to withdraw and revoke such permits. The home/land owners of this subdivision and their supporters are adamently opposed to allowing any mobile/manufactured/pre-built trailer-type house into this neighborhood.
