Comments: I strong oppose this idea based on the environmental impact it would have. We need to keep our green space as green as we can and favor the water and wildlife over revenue. Some places should be off limits. It very hard going back once we've sacrificed the space.

Comments: Sligo is the only remaining course in the most densely populated are of the county. To substantially reduced the size of the course would be a disservice to this communty.

Comments: The MCRA proposal for Sligo Creek golf course will have a negative impact on the surrounding environment and is inappropriate for the neighborhoods that SCGC resides within and will have a negative impact on the quality of life for those of us who live here. As a long-time resident and Montgomery County taxpayer, I adamantly oppose MCRA's proposal.

Comments: The envisioned facility is inconsistent with the nature of the Park and the surrounding neighborhoods. It would negatively impact quality of life and environment in the immediate area of the facility. Please do not allow it to move forward.

Comments: It's a great little course for anyone who wants to go out and play 9 holes, and for learning to play golf. It's also a good habitat for birds and wildlife. To make a mini-golf and driving range would spoil all that.

Comments: We are strongly opposed to the proposed plans to Sligo Golf course that would install night lights, add a mini course and driving range. These additions I can not contribute to our neighborhood, traffic congestion, or environmental health of the creek. I am more than happy to pay taxes to maintain our parks and am certain that I do not want to turn this public asset into a for-profit venture.

Comments: I strongly oppose the current proposal for modifying Sligo Creek Golf Course. I play this course regularly and shortening it or sticking a double decked driving range would not only ruin the appeal, but have a negative impact on the surrounding neighborhoods. My house is directly across the park from the course. It's bad enough to we have the hospital and cell tower lights disrupting our night sky. The thought of having bright lights shine into our neighborhood is horrendous. Putting aside all the obvious environmental arguments against the proposal, the Revenue Authority has provided NO data to the public that supports the fiscal viability of the proposal. How many rounds of mini golf or buckets of balls will it take to pay for this travesty Show us the market research that suggests this would actually be successful. The effect of more traffic, noise, etc. will decrease the value of the homes in this area. Preserve the green space and make responsible decisions. Don't sell out the best part of living in this area - trees, parks, and wildlife for financial greed.

Comments: What's wrong with a quiet, peaceful, not terribly popular golf course where you can go for a leisurely nine holes without worrying if you are holding up the foursome behind you Does every golf facility have to be serious or educational Why do we need to use this course as a money-maker What's the good of a driving range if, when you actually play the course, you can no longer use your driver (as in executive nine layouts)

Comments: We actually do use the course currently. We would continue to use the course if improvements are environmentally sound. In my opinion that excludes driving range facilities and lighted mini-golf. Let's make responsible decisions together.
