Name: Alan Duncan on Nov 13, 2004Country: UKComments: please do something about this..... i spent 3 months as a research assistant, working with the sharks around dyer island and some of the injuries i witnessed were terrible. the same can be said of the behaviour of some of the cage operators who very clearly attempt to have the shark ram the cage area in order to give the customers a "real" adrenalin rush. s. africa deserves huge praise in becoming the first nation to protect these animals but i fear this will be weakened by the baviour witnessed by some of these operators. yours sincerely, alan duncanFlag

Name: Sean Van Sommeran on Nov 15, 2004Country: USComments: On behalf of the Santa Cruz California based Pelagic Shark Research Foundation I wish to express support for the efforts to assure that shark operators be required to utilize motor covers to insure that the sharks are minimally impacted while being enticed or teased with bait; Id also support a 'No-Feeding' stipulation in regards to feeding white sharks while attempting to attract or interact with them. The Feeding of wild animals is a violation of the most basic tenents of wildlife conservation and animal safety. Thanks you very much, Sean Sean R. If you are making money off the natural creatures in their natural environment then it is your responsibility to take care of these intelligent creatures.Flag
