Professor Ervin's teachings exemplify exactly what Mount Union requires of their teacher candidates: Competence, Capability, and Caring. Most all Education majors agree that he is one of the strongest professors in the Education department and we are lucky to have him. We are signing this petition to officially voice our disagreement with the refusal to grant tenure to Dr. Jeremy A. Ervin. This petition will be sent to Dr. Richard F. Giese, school president and to Dr. Patricia Draves, Dean of College and vice president of academic affairs. Notes on Signing Petition: 1. Please explicitly indicate your affiliation with Mount Union College in the comments section. 2. Please refrain from negative comments towards the dean or any other MUC officials. Our goal is to get Professor Ervin the tenured position that he deserves, not to condemn anyone for following bureaucratic protocol.
