Name: Gina Campagna on Jun 30, 2007Comments: A primary reason that our family moved to Granite Bay was to be close to Folsom Lake for boating, biking and horseback riding. We do not want mining and excavation of the shoreline that will destroy our enjoyment of those activities or more importantly jeopodize our health.Flag

These are the some of the best sand beaches on the whole lake and are use by many people from all over northen Calif. The project should get all materials off site not destroy existing natural resources.Flag

Name: Sara Marie Cox on Jul 7, 2007Comments: If there were no other options and it was necessary for the safety of the many, then I would be selfish to oppose. However, if there are other options, it would selfish and negligent of the Bureau of Reclamation to proceed given the certain damage to the quality of life of many. Few things have given me the joy that trail utilization from Cavitt toward Granite Bay lake entrance has for well over a decade. It is a treasure to behold.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jul 8, 2007Comments: Enough is enough - shoreline and access trails such as these must be left as is, not only for the public's enjoyment, but for the sheer continuity of our environment and its beauty. Placer County has given up too much open space. It's time to Just Say No!Flag

Name: Cynthia Warren on Jul 9, 2007Comments: While I understand the need for such a project, I don't understand why the excavation of material has to be mined in such a populated area. I do not believe that the gov't has fully explored or acknowledged the future impact of such a plan. Not only the health issues involved with our children, but also the destabalizing factors of the soils in regards to the homes perched on top of Mooney. I also have concerns about property value and traffic.Flag

Destruction of one of the most beautiful natural environments is NOT a good idea. There are cost effective alternatives and they MUST be considered and stated as preferable.Flag
