Comments: I like the idea of letting people go if their crimes aren't as bad as cutting a person's head off (such as those ragheads love to do). My husband is in jail for trying to steal a pickup truck. I hope a similar petition can be created to get him out of jail. I mean, no one lost a head, right

Comments: this man should not be imprisoned. What he did was not anything to be proud of but certainly not worth a prison sentence. He was in with those who killed, beheaded and tortured Americans and others and his actions do not rise to the levels of those he put "Panties" on. He is a Veteran of 2 wars and served our country well. Do not turn your back on this man now...he didn't on you! Respectfully, Richard C. Finn

Comments: I come from a family with many members either currently in various branches of the military or who have served this country in the military. My husband was on active duty during the first gulf war and has explained the Geneva Convention to me. Since our adversaries are not fighting under the rules of the Geneva Convention, we should treat them accordingly, as they are treating our soldiers. Even if it was "just" Spc. Granger's decision to be insensitive and a bit mean (and yes, that IS all that it was) to the enemies in our custody, then good on him! Especially if it gets us some information that can keep our troops and country safer. War isn't a politically correct game and it shouldn't be fought as though it is.

Comments: I am a former member of the (now closed) 6th Infantry, the 101st Airborne, and the Tennessee NG 267th MP company. So I believe my opinion has some weight behind it. SPC Charles Graner is not a criminal and does not belong in prison. He did not dishonor the US military in any way - that's what the military who sold him out did.
