Why don't grandparents have rights? My case is a little diferent. My son was never married to the mother. But, ever since the child was born up until 2 1/2 years ago I was in her life. She is 12 now. I kept her all the time. Just about ever week-end,holidays when ever the mother wanted me to. Then she got married. He wanted to adopted my grandaughter. So my son signed a over his rights. Then the husband turned into a monster. He cut off all ties with me and the other grandmother. Just found out they left Raleigh NC all of a sudden and moved to Flordia. No family knows what is going on. Is there anything I can do. I think NC should have grandparents rights
