Name: Buel King on Aug 29, 2005State: FLCountry: USComments: I raised my grandbaby for almost three years. Paid for all the diapers, food, clothing, pull-ups, etc.. She was taken away from her mother and now I have lost the opportunity to love her everyday. When she does get to visit, it tears me apart to take her back. She looks up at me and exclaims, "I stay with you Pawpaw! I stay with you."Flag

The DCF is currently in non-compliance with a cout order to have the children in foster care together it has been 1 month and 27 days since my grandbabies have seen each other.Flag

His father is in jail however I have made the promise to not take the child to him, out of the state, or anything of that nature. I just want to be able to see and spend time with my grandson. The mother of my grandson has a child with another man and she is denying them their rights to see their grandson as well.Flag

They placed him in a foster care home where he developed severe diaper rash in 4 days and had a big lump on his head. I spent thousands of dollars to get him out of that system.Go get them!!!!!!!!Flag

Name: Debra Monahan on Oct 31, 2005State: FLCountry: USComments: I have a situation that my husband and I took in a foster child. Soon after getting her, we discovered why she was a foster child because she was a very angry and violent person. However, my son and her fell in love and got married and her behavior continued to be really disrespectful and hateful. They had a child and she barely ever let us see it. Now they have moved and we don't get to see it at all. Our son hates that she does this, but she gets crazy and violent with him if he tries to let us see our grandson. What can we do We are dying inside about this. My husband suffered a major heart attack and is a sick man who could die at anytime and he wants to spend time while he can with our grandson and there seems to be nothging we can do.Flag

Name: Bettye Williams on Nov 8, 2005State: FLCountry: USComments: I think grandparents should have all rights of their grandchildren. My oldest daughter passed away. She had two children, different fathers, but they were split up. The one the fathers has, never been in the child's life, until the mother passed, now he feels that it's time to take over and this child was 6 years old. To me if you have not been involved in the childs life, you have no rights either. Thank youFlag

Name: K Marshall on Nov 18, 2005State: NHCountry: USComments: Good loving grandparents should be considered in the care of their grandchildren when CPS steps in. The foster system if emotionally devastating to children. This should be considered if the grandparents due not have a history of child abuse, sexual abuse or serious felony crime. It only makes sense that grandparents provide a famil nucleus for children. :)Flag
