Comments: Grandchildren have a right to know their grandparents as long as the grandparents are quality, loving people. There needs to be a movement in this country against parents who deny access based simply on their own selfish and irrational desires.

Comments: I agree grandparents should have the right to see and visit with their grandchildren and the child should not be punished because the parent is mad at the grandparent

Comments: My grandchildrens mother will not allow me to see my grandchildren because my son slept with a friend of mine. I knew nothing about it and certainly didnt aprove. But I had no more control over him sleeping with the childrens mother let alone my x-friend. I certainly would not approve of my son sleeping with anyone because that would harm my grandchildrens home and family! How do I get visitation. Please help!

Comments: I believe that children can never have to many people love them. They need all the love and support they can get. As long as the grandparents are good role models or can contribute in some way to benefit the child they should definetly have rights!

Comments: There would not be children without grandparents and it is a proven fact that children need to know where they come from and know their roots. There are so many challenges for children to overcome one more person for them to turn to is a gift from god.

Comments: I told child services about my grand childrens father beating and leaving welts on them. I am now not alloud to see my two angels. how do I protect them if I can't see them. I miss and worry that they are being hurt. This is very unfair I love my grandchildren more then my own life. They are my life and it is killing me that I can't protect them when I told them I would. What can a grandmother do.

Comments: I am currently unable to visit my grand daughter and my son is not able to see his daughter until he is through with the visitation process, which still does not adress my visitation. A child should have the right of visiting and maintaining a relationship with the grand parent.

Comments: I believe that most grandchildren need the love and support of their grandparents - and also that parents should not have the right to stop visitations because of jealousy over the childs love for those grandparents - or that visits should be stopped for no apparent reason. Our laws need to be more open to the pain these children face when their grandparents and other family are ripped from them for reasons they can't understand. Good, loving grandparents are healthy for grandkids. Visitations should be looked at openly with the childs emotional and physical welbeing taken into account. They should not suffer the pain of losing a gradparent just because their mom is angry with her parents. There is something very wrong in that and the separation could have a very negative effect on the child for the rest of his life.

Comments: Every grandparent should have the right to see their grandchildren, this should be 100% enforced unless there is neglect or any criminal activity to sway otherwise.
